Affected

Affected is the past tense form of the verb affect, which means to have an impact on something. If you have affected some change on a system, it means that you have been able to change the system at least a little bit.

Affected是動詞affect（影響）的過去時態(tài)，表示對某事產生影響。如果你在某個系統(tǒng)上影響了某些改變，那意味著你至少能夠輕微地更改這個系統(tǒng)。

Examples:例子：

The election of the new president affected the country’s relationships with many different foreign countries and international organizations.新總統(tǒng)的選舉影響了這個國家與其他許多國家以及國際組織之間的關系。

Effected

Effected is the past tense form of the verb effect. Effect can be used as a noun, but in the past tense form, it resembles the verb. To effect change means to execute, produce, or bring about change.

Effected是動詞effect（產生）的過去時態(tài)。Effect可以作為一個名詞使用，但是在它的過去形式之中，它是一個動詞。產生變化，意味著去執(zhí)行，產生或者帶來某些變化。

Using the verb effected instead of affected almost always means that you have changed something, such as a law, judicial ruling, a cultural norm, or something else. If you merely made an impact on something, you should use affected.使用動詞effected而不是affected，通常是你已經改變了某件事情，比如法律，司法裁決，文化規(guī)范或者其他的東西。如果你只是對某件事產生了影響，你應該使用affected。

Examples:例子：

The new emperor effected the changes that he had been talking about his whole life. 這個新的君主做出了他這一生都在談論的改變。

如何選擇affected和effected的小竅門

If something already exists, it is usually affected, or influenced by something else. If it does not yet exist, like a new system that needs to be put into place, it is usually effected, or implemented.如果某件事情已經存在了，通常是用“affected”或者“influenced”表示被影響到。如果尚未存在，比如一個需要建立的新系統(tǒng)，通常使用“effected”或者“implemented”，表示實現。
