　　Well... *這是種很方便的表達(dá)方式。以下三種情況都可以用。

　　(1)一時(shí)回答不了或說(shuō)不上來(lái)時(shí)。“嗯……”、“唉……”、“這個(gè)嘛……”、“話是不錯(cuò)，可……”。

　　(2)相當(dāng)吃驚時(shí)?！鞍パ?”、“什么?”、“啊!”。

　　(3)改變?cè)掝}繼續(xù)交談時(shí)。“那么……”、“可是……”、“后來(lái)……”。

　　Umm...

　　Hmm...

　　讓我想想。

　　Let me see. *see “考慮”、“盤(pán)算”、“想”，口語(yǔ)中常用來(lái)表示無(wú)法立刻答復(fù)，一時(shí)想不出回答的話，或想說(shuō)點(diǎn)什么。

　　May I take your order?(您點(diǎn)什么菜?)

　　Well, let me see...(點(diǎn)什么呢?……)

　　Let"s see.

　　Let me check.(讓我查查。)

　　I"ll find out for you.(我找找。)

　　我的意思是……

　　I mean... *“就是說(shuō)”、“不，其實(shí)我是說(shuō)……”，用于會(huì)話中補(bǔ)充或糾正自己的發(fā)言時(shí)。

　　May I ask who you are?(請(qǐng)問(wèn)您是哪位?)

　　I"m a friend of John"s... I mean, Mr. Sheehan.(我是約翰的朋友，我是說(shuō)我是希恩先生的朋友。)*當(dāng)說(shuō)話的人是希恩先生的朋友時(shí)。

　　What should I say... *用于委婉表達(dá)難以啟齒的事情，一時(shí)找不到合適的詞，爭(zhēng)取考慮時(shí)間的情況。
